Forge ideas

Your idea. Our forge. A new monster.

Something in your head won't let you sleep? We have a forge, a fire, and too much experience to keep to ourselves. We're business angels. Just with horns. Monster angels, if you will.

The crazier, the better. Seriously.

Monster explaining an idea at the planning board
What we're looking for
  • Products people need every day that nobody has made fun yet.
  • Brands that can handle a monster. A face, a name, a character.
  • Things for businesses that are fed up with “brown on brown.” Not just print, not just paper.
  • Concepts that aren't finished yet. Half-done is our favorite state.
  • Anything crazy that fits the monster universe.

Our currency is called inspiration, not euros.

What we're not looking for
  • Finished companies to buy. We forge, we don't collect.
  • Ideas that only work with lots of capital. We grow from revenue.
  • Anything with “platform” where nobody knows who pays.
  • Pitch decks. They get folded. See Invest.
  • Anything you don't grin about while explaining.

What's in it for you

Your own monster. And a few things more.

You bring the spark. Here's what comes back out of the forge.

A monster with your spark inside

Your idea becomes a brand with character.

  • Its own name, its own mascot, its own place in the family.
  • A spot next to tapemonster and cardmonster.
  • And yes, a profile with a weakness. Every monster has one.

A workshop instead of tuition

What we learned since 2020, you don't have to learn again.

  • Shop, purchasing, shipping, marketing, customer service: all built before.
  • The mistakes we made, you won't repeat. You'll make new ones.
  • The full list: What we bring.

A fair deal, settled beforehand

Who owns what, we settle before things get serious.

  • Equity, license, joint brand, collaboration for a limited time: all possible.
  • Your idea stays yours until we agree. Monsters aren't sharks.
  • No money from you, no money from investors. §4 in the code.

People who pitch in

We stand at the anvil with you, not next to it.

  • No consulting with slides. We build along: product, look, first customers.
  • We make the calls, pack the boxes, read every email ourselves. For your monster too.
  • And Lachrolland makes sure it stays funny.

No idea, but in the mood?

The spark generator.

Sometimes all that's missing is the first sentence. Hit the button until one sticks. Then send it to us. With your ending.

  • None of the sparks is a requirement. All of them are nudges.
  • The best spark is the one that makes you laugh out loud.
  • Lachrolland wrote them. Explains a lot.
Spark

Wouldn't it be funny if every box had a face before you opened it …

The Monster Test

Four questions, then send it.

Four times yes? Write to us. Three is fine too. What happens next is laid out step by step under How it works.

  • Would a monster use it? Product, brand, or concept, as long as it's the monster universe.
  • Do you grin while explaining it? If it stays serious, it's probably a consulting firm.
  • Can you love it even though it's absurd? Or precisely because of that.
  • Do people actually need it? Fun is mandatory, so is usefulness.

Got a spark? Into the nest.

Three sentences by email or a phone call. No form, no pitch deck, no money. The egg is waiting, and it's already wobbling.

The egg wobbles

Follow us

Stay in the loop.

For grins and eye-rolls: we serve absurdly amusing stories and gloriously useless stuff you definitely don't need but will probably love. Now and then there's actual news. But fun always comes first.

One channel for all monsters. Lachrolland hosts.
